In a season where club records have already been broken Sandal cruised to a league record score with winger Simon Frewin equalling a club record of seven tries in one match. With Redcar struggling at the bottom of the league it was clear from the outset that the Milnthorpe Green men held too much power and pace but after Frewin had opened the scoring on four minutes Redcar found field position in the home half to score their only points of the match when their fly half kicked a penalty. From then on it was one way traffic with no. 8 Richard Wade crossing following a rolling maul from a lineout and both flanker Sean Maguire, centre Danny Mitchell and full back Chris Reakes running clear from halfway from quality inter-passing movements. Flanker Ben Brindley then broke clear to cross from thirty metres out and Frewin completed his hat trick before the half time break to leave his side fifty two points to three ahead on forty minutes.
In spite of Redcar no.8 and captain Neil Young leading his side courageously and continually encouraging his young team at every opportunity Sandal continued to run in the tries after the break. Winger Dave Ell scorched clear on two occasions followed by fifty metre tries from centre Dan McCormack and scrum half Max Whittingham together with centre Danny Mitchell completing his brace of tries. Winger Simon Frewin completed his seven try haul and with full back Chris Reakes converting eleven of the seventeen tries for a personal tally of twenty seven points Sandal hit the hundred point mark in the sixty fifth minute of the match. At this point the referee sensibly called a halt to the proceedings with fifteen minutes of the match remaining.
