Coming up to the 1/2 way point in the season, the league position looks precarious. The weekends results worked in our favour, jumping from 11th to 7th and a couple of wins before the festive period could see us in or just outside the play off spots.

Highlights from a results perspective have undoubtedly been home wins against Scunthorpe and Hull Ionians. In terms of individuals, it has been great to see young lads Joel Adams, Jacob Fawcett and Henry West contribute to the senior squad. On top of this, there have been a couple of new players to the club, Jordan Wilson and Tom Wigston, who have come in and made a shirt their own.

We have continuously proved that we are one of the stronger clubs in this league, both in performance and in numbers fulfilling all fixtures. We once again proudly look forward to the away trip to Alnwick which looks like it will be crucial to the end of season standings.

In order to recreate the glory of last season and retain the Premiership title, there are crucial home games against Driffield and Heath before Christmas, in which nothing but bonus points wins will do. After the break, wins at Alnwick away (currently sat 6th) and Sheffield at home (currently sat 1st) would put us firmly back in contention and arguable favourites for the run in.

As we know, there are no easy games in this league and every game will be getting our full attention. The potential in this group is huge and with full availability there would be no team that fancy coming down to Milnthorpe Green and leaving with the spoils. At this stage unfortunately ill discipline and lack of consistency prevents us from been right at the top of the tree.

The next couple of games are huge for us and will define the rest of the season
