Sandal Warriors played a brilliant game in the semi-finals on Sunday against Northallerton Ladies.
The Warriors played downhill first half giving them the advantage, and may have helped the Warriors be first on the scoreboard. The windy conditions made it difficult to secure conversions from the wings.
Northallerton responded with a try under the sticks, helping them secure the conversion. Whilst the first half looked like it could be anyone’s game, the Warriors edged a lead of 29-12 at half time.
The Warriors settled into the game for the second half up hill, showcasing their stamina and skill in windy conditions. Northallerton never gave up and continued to play until the final whistle. However, the Warriors continued to extend their lead, settling on a final score 58-17.
