Sandal U7s rounded off their season with a set of performances that both they and the club can be thoroughly proud of at the Chesterfield festival. Every player contributed to their team through all five of the matches played, individually and as teams. That showed not just in the number of tries scored but in the feedback from the coaches of other clubs. So many coaches complimented Sandal's youngsters on their talent, their determination and their sportsmanship - views with which our own coaches can only agree! The running, supporting, passing and defending was all as good as it's been all season.

A big thanks to Chesterfield for putting on a well-organised festival, and to Sandal's Fixtures Secretary for getting us in, which gave the players a chance to play against teams we wouldn't normally (including one from as far away as Shropshire!). Thanks also to all the parents for their support through the year. But above all, thanks to the boys and girls in the whole squad - those who went to Chesterfield and those who didn't - for their dedication, their effort and their enthusiasm to each other and to the game. It's been wonderful to watch you all develop, and to see the fruits of that this weekend.
