The long awaited return of Bri Kettel’s match reports.

Sandal two's travelled to Driffield last Saturday for their first game and lost 42 points to nil.
Sandal did have a depleted side for their first game with 5 players unavailable and only one substitute, whereas Driffield, who run 4 senior teams had 5 substitutes and had played 5 preseason warm up games. Well done to them.

So, having been promoted and winning the Second team Yorkshire Cup in their last season, Sandal are once again rebuilding their second team squad. This is massively helped with Ben Morley and Paul Brennan developing the 3rd team and Vet's teams.

The future is looking good for the Sandal Second team with three new players turning out at Driffield:
Ibrahim and Yusif Shamchiyev, both making excellent tackles and Cam Allen at scrum half an outstanding player. Also several Senior Colts are knocking on the door of Senior rugby thanks to Darren Reynolds legacy.

If you fancy playing, come on down to training at Sandal RUFC, 7pm Tuesday and Thursday and ask for Michael Knowles Captain, George Hulme vice Captain and Richard Hoyland the second team Manager. Win or lose you'll have a great time.
